To build the prototype we took apart the old prototype we built. We needed the rods to help constructing the new prototype. It a moment of joy for most of us because it was the first step towards our Vehicle. It was a moment of sorrow cause it was the first thing constructed painstakingly by our senior Baja Team.
We have distributed responsibilities such as purchase of materials, transport of the purchased goods, accounting and others among ourselves and are now gonna start constructing on Monday ...

We made it to the Final round at last .... Now is when the fun and work begins ....
We had an interview at Hindustan engineering College and made it to the final stage which is actually constructing the Baja Vehicle ...
Before we jump into the construction of the main vehicle, we plan to build a prototype and use it for testing the rollcage design. Then after workin out all the kinks , we will build the actual one ...

We attended the team scrutiny at Hindustan College of Engineering on the 6th of August. The other colleges offered a tough competition. We are waiting for the results which should incidentally be out anytime now..

The registrations for BAJA ASIA 2010 have been sent today and we are ready to tackle the first phase - The Virtual Baja. In this we have to create a 3D baja vehicle and test it to run under the track conditions of the original Baja. This is to test whether the actual vehical can run in the final competetion. This is a theoretical and virtual testing of the vehicle.
The team has been split into groupss with each group handling each part of the vehicle. The main aim here is to specialize groups in different parts of the vehicle and to improve upon the earlier design. So better get rolling ....

Hey ,
Welcome to our Blog. We are Team Pralay from St. Peters Engineering College. We are a group of students from the 3rd and 4th year of various engineering departments in our college. The team is comprised of some of the best minds of our college SAE ( Society of Automotive Engineers ) student members. We are registering for BAJA 2010 under the name 'Pralay' which means destruction ( to foes ) and plan to make it to the top in the competition.
This is our blog where we shall keep you updated on our status as we progress throughout the competition fighting our way to the top. We will keep on updating this blog as often as possible, so please bear with us if no new update are posted for some time.
